As founder of Candelaria Design Associates, Mark Candelaria has been a pillar of the Arizona design world for over 40 years, designing more than 2,500 homes across the country and around the world in a wide range of styles. “We’ve paid our dues and earned the respect of our contemporaries,” he says. “My job is to facilitate creating my clients’ dream homes and environments.”
For Candelaria, it’s the longstanding relationships he’s forged with clients over the course of his career that he counts as his greatest achievement. “It’s much more than delivering a set of plans,” he says. “These are potential lifelong partnerships and friendships.” This client-centric approach has led to annual “lifestyle tours” with vendors and clients and garnered the firm notable awards, including the Gold Nugget Home of the Year by Pacific Builders Council and Luxe Red Awards, Ranking Arizona magazine #1 Firm and Master of the Southwest.
