Our first-ever TV Series on The Design Network, "Sketch" takes viewers through the incredible homes and travels of acclaimed architect Mark Candelaria. Season One
In episode 1 of Sketch we get to know Mark and see a bit of his day-to-day.
In episode 2 we visit an Italian-style villa in the middle of a lettuce farm in Yuma, AZ, a dream home created for a family of five and their imaginary mouse friend Thelonious. Next, we tour a beautiful home in Silverleaf Golf Club completely surrounded by a moat to protect their cats from the wildlife. Last, we see a non-profit for kids battling terminal illness with design pans for a Batman-inspired Bat Cave!
In episode 3 Mark leads viewers and a group of travelers to the heart of Italy! Mark has been leading "lifestyle tours" to Italy for friends and clients since 2000 as they immerse in the magnificent architecture, cuisine, art and culture that Italy is known for. From sunset cruises through Venice and Lake Como, to making pasta from scratch in a farmhouse in Umbria, his two-week tours to Italy are an experience of a lifetime!
In Episode 4 Mark takes viewers along to some gatherings hosted at homes he designed. They start with a client's underground wine cellar meets Man Cave and show the building process. Next we attend an elegant party at a Mediterranean-style Villa in Silverleaf Golf Club and Mark explains the process of designing a home meant for hosting large parties. Lastly we visit a casual get together on the patio and talk about indoor-outdoor living.
