Willamette Valley Wine Country Tour

August 7-12, 2024

 Join Mark, his wife Isabel & daughter Tiffany on our third tour of Oregon’s Willamette Valley wine country. We will be staying in the beautiful Setting Inn in the heart of the Willamette Valley, a lush valley of rolling hills and vineyards an hour southwest of Portland and 45 minutes from the coast. The Willamette Valley was Wine Enthusiast’s 2016 Wine Region of the Year. More than 700 vineyards and 530 producers are spread among the Valley’s six American Viticultural Areas, best known for its impeccable Pinot Noirs and Rosé, the diverse region also offers many other varietals, as well as local craft beers and ciders.

Mark and family spent the month of July, 2020 in McMinnville for the first time and were so impressed by the wines, the landscape, the restaurants, the friendly people and the whole experience, they not only wanted to return as soon as possible, (which they did) but also wanted to share this hidden gem with all of you by creating this new Candelaria Design Tour!

Pricing is $9,000 per couple/double occupancy or $5,000 for single occupancy and will include roundtrip airfare to/from Portland International Airport (PDX), rental cars, fabulous lodging, all breakfasts, lunches and dinners, daily wine tastings, private tours, optional hikes and more!

Proposed Itinerary

Wednesday : Fly to Portland, Oregon early afternoon (commercial economy airfare included, upgrades available). Pick up rental cars (one car per two couples) at airport and drive 1 hour southwest to wine country. Check into The Setting Inn late afternoon and at sunset we will enjoy a beautiful catered dinner in the vineyard.

Thursday : Today we’ll get dressed up for a Member’s Tour and Wine Tasting at Domain Serene. In the evening we’ll enjoy a farm to table dinner at MAC Market in McMinnville and enjoy the town.

Friday : Today we will tour an Olive Mill & walk through the groves. After we will enjoy a private wine and olive oil tasting with snacks at Durant at Red Ridge Farms. Relax and refresh at the Inn before a fabulous 3 course dinner at Tina's in Dundee.

Saturday : After breakfast, option to relax or hike Miller Woods with Mark & Isabel. At noon we will enjoy a wine tasting and lunch at Lachini Vineyards. That evening, an amazing, authentic Italian feast at Rosmarino Osteria awaits!

Sunday : We will start today with a beautiful guided vineyard “hike” at Knudsen Vineyards where we will taste the wines along the way and enjoy lunch at the winery’s lookout cabin atop the hill. We will then rest and change for a fun evening in McMinnville and a Spanish dinner at La Rambla.

Monday : Leisurely morning, check out of hotel, drive to Portland airport, return rental cars and fly to Phoenix.
